Yemeni Prime Minister Reiterates Government’s Commitment to Release All Prisoners and Forcibly Disappeared

Yemen Monitor/Newsroom:
Yemeni Prime Minister, Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, praised on Sunday the tremendous efforts made by the Abductees’ Mothers Association in defending the issue of abductees and the forcibly disappeared, affirming the government’s full support for their just demands.
This came during his meeting in the temporary capital, Aden, with the head of the Association, Amat Al-Salam Al-Hajj, where the two sides discussed developments in the abductees’ file and the continuous violations committed by the Houthi militias against civilians.
The Prime Minister congratulated the head of the Association on her well-deserved win of the “International Women of Courage Award for 2025,” praising her courage and the courage of the mothers in their peaceful struggle for the freedom of their sons, in the face of what he described as “the criminality and arrogance of the terrorist Houthi militias.”
Bin Mubarak affirmed that the government is committed to making every effort necessary to ensure the release of all abductees, prisoners, and the forcibly disappeared, calling on the international community and the United Nations to exert more pressure on the Houthi militias to release detainees, including UN and international employees, and to hold the perpetrators accountable and stop arbitrary arrests.
For her part, Amat Al-Salam Al-Hajj expressed her appreciation for the Prime Minister’s interest and continuous follow-up of the Association’s efforts, stressing that “freedom is a human right that is not negotiable, and that all abductees must be released without restrictions or conditions.”
