Yemeni Company Denies Airstrike on Its Factory, Urges Public Not to Spread Rumors

The Yemeni Sugar Refining Company in Al-Hudaidah Governorate has denied the authenticity of the news circulated by activists on social media regarding its factory being subjected to US airstrike, stressing that what is being promoted is baseless.

In an official statement released Sunday, the company emphasized that its industrial facility is one of the country’s key economic landmarks, employing over a thousand workers. It warned that such malicious rumors are aimed at harming the national economy, undermining trust in productive institutions, and endangering workers’ lives.

The company confirmed that operations are continuing as usual and called on media outlets and activists to verify information before publishing and to avoid spreading unreliable claims. It also stressed the importance of relying on official statements issued by the company and resisting misinformation and incitement targeting its facilities.

The statement concluded by urging relevant authorities to take appropriate measures to hold accountable those spreading rumors that threaten the security and stability of the country’s industrial sector.
