Yemeni Ministry of Endowments Renews Warning: No Hajj Without Official Permit

Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:
The Yemeni Ministry of Endowments and Guidance has reiterated its warning to authorized Hajj travel agencies against organizing pilgrimages for individuals who do not possess an official Hajj permit or visa issued by the relevant authorities.
In an official circular, the ministry emphasized that any violation in this regard will be met with strict legal penalties, stressing that compliance with the applicable regulations is both a religious and legal obligation.
The ministry referred to a fatwa issued by the Council of Senior Scholars, which stated that obtaining a Hajj permit and adhering to it serves a legitimate religious interest. Anyone who fails to do so is considered sinful and, under Islamic law, not deemed eligible to perform the Hajj.
The Ministry of Endowments called on all licensed agencies to strictly follow the regulations governing the 1446 AH Hajj season, in order to ensure the safety and security of pilgrims and to conduct the pilgrimage in accordance with religious and legal guidelines.
