The Taiz Military Axis announced on Saturday evening the outbreak of intense clashes between Yemeni army forces and Houthi fighters on the Al-Anin front in Jabal Habashi District, west of Taiz Governorate (southwest Yemen).
In a statement, the axis explained that the fighting erupted following a failed infiltration attempt by Houthi elements toward army positions in the area. The statement noted that the forces successfully repelled the attack, forcing the Houthi infiltrators to retreat and flee.
The statement affirmed that army forces remain on high alert and fully prepared to respond to any hostile movements, amid ongoing violations and escalation attempts by Houthi militias in the western part of the governorate.
