Salem Ahmed Al-Khanbashi, Member of the Presidential Leadership Council and Governor of Hadramawt, discussed on Wednesday with Omar Salem Bawazeer, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Mukalla Fish Canning Factory (Al-Ghowaizi), the progress of work at the factory and future plans aimed at developing its performance and enhancing its production capabilities.
According to the Media Office of Hadramawt Governorate, during the meeting held at his office in the city of Mukalla, Al-Khanbashi listened to a presentation on the factory’s production plan and the efforts being made to maintain product quality in accordance with approved standards.
The presentation also addressed mechanisms for expanding marketing and exporting to local, regional, and international markets, in a way that contributes to enhancing the presence of the national product and increasing its competitiveness.
The Governor of Hadramawt emphasized the importance of developing the factory and maintaining the continuity of its operations, considering it one of the important industrial and economic assets in the governorate, pointing out its role in supporting the local economy, providing job opportunities, and developing the fisheries sector.
Al-Khanbashi praised the efforts of the factory’s management and workers, calling for continued work to raise performance efficiency and achieve production sustainability in line with market requirements and to enhance the fisheries sector’s contribution to economic development.
