The British Ambassador to Yemen, Abda Sharif, held a virtual meeting with Yemen’s Minister of Finance, Marwan bin Ghanem, in the first meeting between the two since he assumed office.
In a post on her official account on the platform X, the ambassador said that the meeting included congratulating the minister on the new budget, while also confirming the United Kingdom’s continued support for the Yemeni government’s economic priorities.
The British ambassador renewed her country’s support for economic reforms and strengthening economic governance, as well as efforts aimed at achieving economic stability in Yemen.
This meeting comes as part of international efforts to support the Yemeni government in implementing economic reforms, improving resource management, and strengthening financial stability.
