A drone, believed to be an American MQ-9 Reaper, crashed in Abyan Governorate southern Yemen.
Local and news sources reported that the aircraft went down in “Masab” area, located in Khabar al-Maraqisha, which overlooks the Arabian Sea. There has been no immediate information regarding the cause of the crash or the extent of the damage resulting from the incident.
This incident occurs against the backdrop of continuous regional escalation. Several Gulf states are currently facing attacks by Iranian drones and missiles in response to what Tehran describes as an ongoing U.S.-Israeli attack that began last Saturday.
