Banking sources reported that the Saudi riyal exchange rate stabilized at 425 Yemeni rials in money exchange shops and companies, while the US dollar maintained its rate at 1,617 Yemeni rials in areas under the control of the Presidential Leadership Council.
In the same context, the sources explained that exchange rates in areas controlled by the Houthi group have remained stable for years, with the Saudi riyal trading at around 140 Yemeni rials, while the US dollar ranges between 535 and 540 Yemeni rials.
This stability comes amid anticipation in economic circles of any developments that could affect the exchange market in the coming period.
