Yemeni Government Confirms Readiness of Airports in Liberated Governorates to Receive Flights

The Deputy Minister of Transport in the Yemeni government, Nasser Sharif, confirmed the full technical and administrative readiness of all airports in the liberated governorates to receive various types of flights, including those operated by local and international airlines.
In a statement to the official Yemeni News Agency, Sharif called on private airlines to operate flights to Aden International Airport and other airports in the liberated governorates, in accordance with the regulations and bylaws approved by the Civil Aviation and Meteorology Authority, and in line with the Ministry of Transport’s directives.
He explained that the Ministry of Transport, in coordination with the Civil Aviation and Meteorology Authority, will work to provide all necessary facilitation and support to airlines wishing to operate, ensuring the smooth flow of flights and the preparation of a safe and attractive environment for civil aviation. He also praised the ongoing efforts exerted by the ministry’s affiliated authorities and sectors to enhance operational efficiency and improve the level of services provided to passengers.
The Deputy Minister of Transport commended the attention of the political leadership and the support provided by Saudi Arabia for airport rehabilitation projects through the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, affirming that this support has significantly contributed to the reopening of most airports and enhancing their readiness.
