Member of the Presidential Leadership Council and Governor of Hadramawt, Salem Ahmed Al-Khanbashi, was briefed on the latest developments regarding the Yemen Arabian Sea Ports Corporation during a meeting with its Chairman, Engineer Salem Basmir, to discuss operations and current challenges.
During the meeting, Al-Khanbashi praised the stances taken by the Corporation’s Chairman during the recent circumstances experienced by the governorate. He commended what he described as a responsible role in maintaining the safety of workers and ensuring the continuity of operations at vital facilities, foremost among them the Port of Mukalla.
The Governor reaffirmed his support for plans to develop the port and improve its administrative and technical efficiency, emphasizing that the Port of Mukalla represents a vital economic artery for Hadramawt due to its pivotal role in stimulating trade and supporting development efforts.
He also stressed that the local authority stands alongside all national initiatives aimed at enhancing the Corporation’s performance and upgrading its services.
