Local sources and eyewitnesses in the temporary capital, Aden, reported on Thursday that forces belonging to the Giants Brigades carried out a comprehensive closure of the National Assembly headquarters—affiliated with the dissolved Southern Transitional Council (STC)—in the Tawahi district on Thursday morning.
According to the sources, the operation was executed under direct directives from Presidential Leadership Council member Abu Zara’a al-Muharrami.
The sources confirmed that the forces completely sealed the headquarters, preventing the “Administrative Body” and members of the Assembly from entering, while simultaneously halting all administrative activities inside.
The reports added that field measures included replacing the previous security details with new ones and deploying security reinforcements around the building, leading to a state of security alert within the district.
