Human Rights Calls for International Prosecution of “Abu Ali Al-Hadrami” Over Crimes in Hadramawt

Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:

Huda Al-Sarari, head of the Southern League for the Families of Victims of Assassination, Torture, and Enforced Disappearance, has called for the prosecution of military leaders involved in serious violations in Hadramawt Governorate, both locally and internationally.

She stressed the importance of judicial accountability through national and international legal frameworks to ensure an end to impunity, deliver justice to victims, and protect civilians. She affirmed that the violations committed by “Al-Hadrami” rise to the level of “war crimes” and are currently being documented in a professional and responsible manner for submission to justice.

Al-Sarari revealed that forces known as the “Security Support,” which were led by “Abu Ali Al-Hadrami”—who has reportedly fled to the United Arab Emirates—carried out field executions against civilians in the Al-Hadbah and Ghayl Bin Yamin areas. She confirmed that firsthand testimonies from local residents regarding these crimes have been documented.

In a post on her account on X, she explained that the violations were not limited to killings, but also included raids and looting of homes, the killing of livestock, and the destruction of agricultural crops.
