“Ashhal al-Ja’dani” Case Reaches Saudi Media: Demands for the Arrest of “Yusran al-Maqtari” and His Associates in the UAE

Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:
The Saudi newspaper Okaz reported on Sunday, citing private sources, that the Yemeni Ministry of Interior renewed its request two days ago to the Head of the Liaison Division of the Arab Interior Ministers Council in Abu Dhabi. The request seeks the arrest of several individuals wanted by Yemeni authorities on charges of kidnapping, murder, and involvement in an armed gang.
The demand for arrest includes Yusran Hamza Taher al-Maqtari, Samih Aidarous al-Nourji, Tammam Mohammed Hassan Ghalib, and Mahmoud Othman Saeed Ali.
In its request, the Yemeni Ministry of Interior explained that the four individuals are wanted by the competent judicial and prosecutorial authorities for committing crimes including kidnapping, murder, and membership in an armed gang. It noted that arrest warrants have been issued against the four criminals by the Department of Prosecution and Criminal Records at the General Secretariat of the Arab Interior Ministers Council.
The Ministry stated in its request that information available to Yemeni authorities indicates that some of them fled Yemen after committing the crimes.
The four individuals, along with other fugitives, are implicated in the kidnapping of Lieutenant Colonel Ali Ashhal al-Ja’dani. They reportedly lured him to the Al-Taqniya area in Aden, intercepted his vehicle, and removed him at gunpoint. He was subsequently kidnapped and taken to an unknown location; his fate remains unknown to this day.
