Supporters of Aidarous al-Zubaidi took to the streets today, Sunday, in a large demonstration in the Socotra Archipelago governorate. During the protest, participants chanted sharp slogans accusing Saudi Arabia of supporting terrorism.
Activists and human rights advocates in the governorate condemned these offensive slogans against Saudi Arabia, asserting that they do not represent the stance of the archipelago’s inhabitants.
They clarified that the majority of the protesters are not local residents of Socotra, but rather recruits brought in by the Southern Transitional Council (STC) from other governorates.
