Al Jaber: Meeting with STC Discussed Addressing the Harm Caused to the Southern Cause by al-Zubaidi’s Movements

Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:

The Saudi Ambassador to Yemen, Mohammed Al Jaber, announced on Thursday that he held a meeting with a delegation from the Southern Transitional Council (STC) in the capital, Riyadh. The discussion addressed recent movements led by the Council under the direction of Aidarous al-Zubaidi.

Al Jaber stated that these recent actions have “clearly harmed the Southern Cause” and undermined the unity necessary to face current challenges and adversaries. He added that the meeting focused on exploring future frameworks to rectify the situation in a manner that serves the Southern Cause and bolsters the Arab Coalition’s efforts to achieve security and stability in Yemen.

The meeting also touched upon ongoing arrangements to hold a special conference dedicated to the Southern Cause in Riyadh in the near future. This step aims to unify visions and enhance coordination between various parties.

The Saudi Ambassador emphasized that strengthening unity and joint action among southern factions constitutes a fundamental pillar for sustainable security and stability in Yemen, especially given the volatile political climate and the security challenges facing the country.
