Arab Parliament Welcomes Comprehensive Conference on the Southern Yemen Issue, Stresses Importance of Dialogue

The Arab Parliament expressed its full commitment to enhancing security and stability in Yemen, following its monitoring of the latest developments in the country.
It called upon the Yemeni people to prioritize wisdom and address differences through dialogue and understanding to reach sustainable political solutions that place the interests of the people and the nation above all other considerations.
The Parliament affirmed its welcome of the initiative by the President of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council to hold a comprehensive conference including all Southern components to discuss just solutions for the Southern issue. It considered this a positive step toward ending tension and promoting diplomatic solutions within the framework of a comprehensive political settlement for the Yemeni crisis.
Furthermore, it welcomed the responsiveness of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to host this conference, calling on all Southern components to participate and engage at the dialogue table.
The Parliament emphasized that the Southern issue is a just cause with historical and social dimensions, and that dialogue is the only way to address it and ensure security and stability in Yemen.
