Yemeni Islah Party: Attack on Our Headquarters in Taiz Is a “Heinous Crime” Targeting Civil Political Activity

Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:

The Yemeni Congregation for Reform (Islah) in Taiz governorate condemned what it described as a treacherous terrorist attack that targeted the party’s main headquarters on Jamal Street in Taiz city, using an improvised explosive device that left three people dead and 13 others wounded, including critically injured victims.

In a statement, Islah’s executive office said the heinous crime targeted a civilian political party operating within the framework of Yemen’s constitutional system.

In its statement issued on Thursday, December 18, 2025, the party stressed that the attack would not deter it from continuing its national role, affirming that the people of Taiz, in all their diversity, will remain steadfast and united around their national project, which the city has upheld throughout its long history of struggle.

The statement extended condolences to the families of those killed in the bombing and wished a speedy recovery to the wounded, while calling for the perpetrators to be apprehended and brought to justice as swiftly as possible.

Islah added that the cowardly targeting of its headquarters reflects a dangerous escalation against civil political activity, urging the relevant security authorities to take firm measures to confront such criminal acts and protect political peace in the governorate.
