Al-Aradah: Education Is the Gateway to Development and National Recovery

Sultan al-Aradah, member of the Presidential Leadership Council and governor of Marib, attended on Thursday the graduation ceremony of 1,139 students from various colleges at Saba Region University. The event celebrated the new cohorts after years of study at one of the modern universities established during the war.

In his remarks, al-Aradah stressed that education is the foundation for building the state and restoring its institutions, affirming that investing in human capital is among the top priorities of the governorate’s leadership.

Al-Aradah said that Saba Region University was founded under exceptionally difficult conditions but managed to overcome limited resources to become an academic institution hosting thousands of students from different governorates. He praised its role in supplying the country with qualified professionals, particularly in medical and technical fields, and expressed his appreciation to the university’s administration and faculty members for their academic efforts.

Addressing the graduates, the PLC member said their graduation represents the fruit of years of hard work, adding that Yemen counts on their dedication and national commitment. He urged them to continue developing their skills and to take part in shaping the country’s future.

For his part, University President Dr. Mohammed al-Qudsi praised the support the university has received in recent years, reaffirming its commitment to improving the quality of higher education. Vice President and head of the ceremony’s preparatory committee, Dr. Ali al-Rimal, called on graduates to turn what they had learned into practical responsibility.

The ceremony included speeches by graduates and artistic performances. Major General al-Aradah also presented laptops to the top students in each college.
