Yemeni Parties: Confronting the Houthis is a Shared Responsibility and Restoring the State is the Core of Political Consensus

The Supreme Council of the National Coalition of Parties and Political Components reaffirmed that confronting the Houthis is a shared national battle that requires unifying all energies and efforts. It emphasized that restoring the state and its constitutional institutions represents the supreme and non-negotiable goal.
This came during the council’s regular meeting chaired by Ahmed Obaid bin Daghr, where it discussed the latest political and economic developments on the national scene and reviewed the efforts being made to confront the Houthi coup.
The council praised the ongoing government measures in the path of economic and administrative reforms, considering them a fundamental step to enhance the performance of state institutions and improve services for citizens.
The statement issued after the meeting indicated that the National Coalition places citizens’ issues at the forefront of its concerns and, through specialized teams, is preparing practical studies and recommendations to be raised to the political leadership to explore appropriate solutions.
The council also reviewed the progress level in completing the coalition’s comprehensive vision to support legitimacy, which forms an advanced political framework aimed at unifying national forces, consolidating state institutions, and accelerating efforts to restore the state and end the Houthi coup.
The council affirmed its commitment to supporting the legitimate government, enhancing joint national work, and developing political and economic initiatives that serve the citizens, contribute to unifying the national ranks, and lead to the restoration of the state and the end of the terrorist Houthi coup.
