96 Joint Replacement Surgeries Conducted for War Victims in Marib

The International Association for the Care of War and Disaster Victims concluded today in Marib the fourth phase of its artificial joint replacement project, completing a total of 96 surgeries carried out at Marib General Hospital.
Dr. Mohammed Darbaa, the association’s regional director, explained that the fourth phase included 59 hip replacements and 37 knee replacements, performed by a specialized medical team.
He noted that the fourth phase also included postoperative follow-up for patients in the inpatient ward, which had been rehabilitated and equipped during the project’s first phase, in addition to upgrading the operating room and providing it with the necessary equipment to ensure a safe medical environment in accordance with modern standards.
