Martyr Afthan Al-Mashhri Awarded the Duty Medal in Recognition of Her Sacrifices in Public Service

The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, presented the Duty Medal on Thursday to the late Director General of the Cleaning and Improvement Fund in Taiz Governorate, Martyr Afthan Al-Mashhri. She lost her life on September 18th last year, fatally shot by criminal elements while performing her national duty in service to the community.
While presenting the Duty Medal to the father of Martyr Afthan Al-Mashhri, the Chairman of the Council affirmed that this honor represents a testimony of pride in the role of Martyr Afthan, and in every woman and man who has decided to serve their country with honor and dedication. He emphasized that the martyr was an example of commitment, integrity, dedication, and self-denial, and an honorable symbol of the values of giving and public responsibility.
Al-Alimi stated that this honor is a message of appreciation for every Yemeni employee and citizen who works silently in service to the community, and in fulfillment of the sacrifices of Yemeni women in the fields of work, management, and public service, amidst the difficult conditions exacerbated by the terrorist Houthi militias supported by the Iranian regime.
