Yemeni Army Announces Foiling Houthi “Infiltration Attempt” East of Al-Jawf

Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:
Yemeni army forces foiled an infiltration attempt by Houthi militants in the eastern fronts of Al-Jawf governorate (northeast Yemen).
The army forces’ Media Center said that “the heroes of the army clashed with armed groups belonging to the Houthi militia while they were attempting to advance towards military sites in the desert stretching east of Al-Jawf.”
It added that the battles, which involved the use of medium and light weapons and drones, ended with the Houthi elements fleeing after several of them were killed and wounded by the fire of the army heroes.
This terrorist Houthi attack comes a week after the armed forces in the Sixth Military Region implemented a security deployment plan to secure the desert roads east of Al-Jawf governorate, all the way to the Al-Wadea border crossing, as part of their efforts to secure the area and combat smuggling, in execution of the directives of the Ministry of Defense and the Chief of General Staff.
