Al-Jawf’s Bani Nawf Tribes Renew Support for the Army in the Sixth Military Region

Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:

The Bani Nawf tribes—one of the largest tribes in Al-Jawf (northeastern Yemen)—along with their sheikhs, elders, and dignitaries, have reaffirmed their full support for the Sixth Military Region and the armed forces in maintaining the security and stability of the Rayyan areas, and in countering all smuggling attempts into areas controlled by the Houthi terrorist militia.

Major General Haykal Hantaf, Commander of the Sixth Military Region, received the sheikhs and elders of the Bani Nawf tribe and praised their heroic and leading role in confronting the Houthi terrorist militia. He commended their great sacrifices in defeating the militia, crushing its coup project in Al-Jawf’s desert, and safeguarding the national security of Yemen and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

He pointed out that the tribe has supported the state throughout the decisive stages of the war, with many of its members joining the ranks of the armed forces.

For their part, the dignitaries and sheikhs of the Bani Nawf tribes reaffirmed their support for the armed forces in carrying out their duties in the desert areas east of Al-Jawf province and in blocking the routes used by smugglers to deliver weapons and contraband to the Houthi militia. They emphasized their firm rejection of anyone attempting to disrupt security or cooperate with the militia under any pretext.

Bani Nawf tribes have also begun removing their tribal encampments from areas of military deployment in the Rayyan desert, following an agreement with the leadership of the Sixth Military Region—an initiative that underscores their commitment to unity and coordination with the armed forces in confronting the common enemy of all Yemenis: the Houthi militia.

The tribal sheikhs and elders stressed the importance of solidarity between the tribesmen and the armed forces to protect the security of Al-Jawf and Saudi Arabia and to curb sabotage activities. They noted that today’s battle is one of awareness and a purely national struggle against the Houthi project, which seeks to fragment Yemen’s social fabric and undermine state institutions.

The tribes reiterated that Bani Nawf has always been—and will remain—a steadfast supporter of the state and the armed forces in the battle to restore the republic and preserve the nation’s security and stability.
