Yemen took part in the opening of the Middle East Oil & Gas and Geosciences Exhibition and Conference (MEOS GEO 2025) in Manama, Bahrain, with a delegation led by Minister of Oil and Minerals Dr. Said Al-Shamasi.
The conference brought together oil ministers, global energy companies, and over 17,000 experts and academics. Discussions focused on the future of energy, including boosting regional and international cooperation, showcasing innovations in geosciences, and exploring new exploration and production technologies. The event also addressed the transition to clean energy and reducing carbon emissions.
Minister Al-Shamasi highlighted Yemen’s promising opportunities in the oil, gas, and minerals sectors. He also emphasized its strategic location on the Arabian Sea, the Gulf of Aden, and Bab al-Mandab. The minister invited investors to take advantage of the facilitations and incentives offered by his ministry to develop the country’s energy sector.
He also expressed his appreciation for Bahrain’s efforts in organizing the international event, which brings together leaders and experts to discuss energy supply security and enhance regional integration in the field.
