Mahra Police Thwart Smuggling of 25 Illegal Migrants to Oman

The police in the Shahen district of Mahra governorate have succeeded in foiling an attempt to smuggle 25 illegal migrants who were en route from Marib governorate to the border with Oman. The operation came after careful monitoring of smuggling networks that are active in transporting migrants through various areas within the country.
Dr. Rasheed Al-Salahi, the Deputy Security Director and Director of Criminal Investigation in the Shahen district, stated that the intensified security campaigns carried out by the Shahen police resulted in the migrants’ capture before they reached the smuggling point. He added that the security agencies have taken the necessary legal measures and begun an investigation with those involved in the transport operation.
Al-Salahi emphasized that combating illegal immigration is a top priority to ensure community security. He stressed the need to enhance coordination between different security units to curb the smuggling phenomenon that threatens stability in the governorate.
The police efforts in Mahra have shown a clear commitment to confronting smuggling activities, reflecting the security agencies’ dedication to protecting the borders and combating transnational crimes, according to official sources from the Mahra governorate’s media center.
