Security forces in the interim capital, Aden, announced on Thursday the arrest of a suspect in the murder of a 13-year-old boy—a crime that has stirred widespread public outrage since the beginning of August.
Police clarified that the body, discovered on August 2 and initially unidentified, was later confirmed to be that of the child (H.A.J.) following ongoing investigations.
Preliminary findings revealed that the crime was committed intentionally by a 38-year-old man identified as (A.A.S.), who confessed during initial questioning to carrying out the murder, citing criminal motives.
Aden police confirmed that investigations are ongoing to complete the legal procedures and refer the case to the relevant judicial authorities for prosecution.
