The Italian frigate Andrea Doria has completed its mission to protect commercial vessels within the area of operations under the command of the European Union’s Operation Aspides.
According to a post by Operation Aspides on Platform X, the vessel carried out a series of security and defensive missions to safeguard navigation in one of the world’s busiest and most volatile maritime corridors, amid escalating threats targeting global trade.
The mission highlights the vital role of the EU Naval Force, which remains committed to a comprehensive defensive mandate aimed at promoting regional stability and prosperity.
