Al-Alimi Appoints Ambassadors to Czech Republic and Indonesia

Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:

Ambassador Mohammed Al-Hadrami and Ambassador Salem Ahmed Balfaqih were sworn in today, Thursday, before the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi. This marks their official appointment as Yemen’s ambassadors to the Czech Republic and the Republic of Indonesia, respectively.

The ceremony took place at Maashiq Palace in the interim capital, Aden, with several officials from the Presidential Office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in attendance, as reported by the official news agency “Saba.”

During the meeting, President Al-Alimi emphasized the importance of the new ambassadors fully undertaking their responsibilities in representing the Republic of Yemen and strengthening bilateral relations with their accredited countries, in addition to looking after the affairs of Yemeni communities abroad.

Al-Alimi highlighted the pivotal role of diplomatic missions at this stage, both in conveying Yemen’s voice in international forums and in exposing the violations committed by the Houthi group, which he described as a continuous threat to international peace and security.

He also stressed the need for diplomatic work to be an extension of the Yemeni people’s values and aspirations to build a state based on justice and equal citizenship, and to interact with regional and international changes in a way that serves Yemen’s supreme interests.
