“Tel Aviv” Officially Requests US to Resume Houthi Strikes
Yemen Monitor/Occupied Jerusalem/Exclusive:
The Hebrew Broadcasting Authority reported on Thursday that the Israeli occupation requested the US to renew attacks on the Houthis in Yemen, after the movement sank two commercial ships earlier this week.
The Hebrew Authority stated that “Tel Aviv informed Washington that Houthi attacks on navigation are not just an Israeli problem, but a global one.”
According to the Authority, Israel called on the US to “launch more intensified joint attacks against Houthi regime targets – not only with airstrikes from Israeli fighter jets, but also with renewed American attacks and the formation of a coalition including additional countries.”
The Hebrew Authority quoted an official as saying, “A broad coalition is needed to inform the Houthi regime that it is in danger.”
The Liberian-flagged, Greek-owned vessel Eternity C sank on July 9, 2025, after being subjected to two days of drone and missile fire. Four sailors were killed in the attacks, according to maritime officials, with 10 rescued and 11 others missing. The US Mission in Yemen accused the Houthis of kidnapping several of the missing crew members whose fate remains unknown.
Another Liberian-flagged, Greek-operated vessel, the Magic Seas, sank on July 6, 2025, after sustaining damage from gunfire, missiles, drones, and four remote-controlled explosive boats. The entire crew was evacuated to Djibouti aboard a passing commercial vessel. The Houthi media arm shortly thereafter published a video of the strikes and the subsequent boarding of the ship by militants.
