Mass Dolphin Deaths Reported Off Socotra’s Coast

Local activists have circulated videos showing the death of a large number of dolphins along the coast of Socotra, specifically in “Neet” area.
The activists confirmed that the incident occurred off the shores of “Neet” region in Qalansiyah.
They expressed outrage over the event, stressing the need for those responsible to be held accountable.
Activists placed legal, historical, and moral responsibility on the local authorities in Socotra for the ongoing environmental degradation.
They also questioned which parties stand to benefit from the destruction of Socotra’s environment.
The activists noted that the archipelago is witnessing daily environmental disasters affecting both marine and terrestrial life.
They affirmed that all elements of Socotra’s biodiversity are now under unprecedented threat.
