Yemeni Prime Minister: We Promise Not to Sell Illusions or Hide Behind Excuses

Yemen Monitor / Aden / Exclusive:

Yemeni Prime Minister Salem bin Brik pledged on Tuesday that his government “will not sell illusions or hide behind excuses,” emphasizing that its top priority is “alleviating the suffering of citizens.”

In a post on his official account on X following his cabinet’s first meeting in Aden, bin Brik stated:

“I promise you that we will be a government that does not sell illusions or hide behind excuses. We will operate with transparency and be honest with the people.”

He added:

“We know people are tired of words, so we won’t stop at statements. We will measure our success by what is actually achieved on the ground.”

He continued:

“We came to take responsibility and to serve the people with everything we can. I ask God for help and success, and I promise you honesty and hard work—nothing more, nothing less.”

The Prime Minister returned to Aden earlier this week along with the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, marking his first visit to the city since being appointed to office a few weeks ago.
