Widespread Displacement Near Sana’a Airport Following “Israeli” Warning and Airstrikes

Yemen Monitor / Sana’a / Exclusive:

Large-scale displacement occurred on Tuesday in areas surrounding Sana’a International Airport after the Israeli occupation forces issued an urgent warning calling on civilians to immediately evacuate the area in preparation for airstrikes.

Local sources reported that residents fled their homes in neighborhoods near the airport after the Israeli warning, which was circulated on social media along with a detailed map of the targeted area.

Avichay Adraee, spokesperson for the Israeli occupation army, stated on the platform “X” that “failing to evacuate puts your lives in danger,” emphasizing the need to stay away from the airport’s vicinity.

Following the warning, Israeli warplanes launched airstrikes targeting Sana’a International Airport, destroying critical infrastructure and rendering the airport completely out of service, according to statements by the Israeli military.

These developments come two days after the Houthi group launched a ballistic missile that struck an area near Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, injuring four people and causing a temporary suspension of air traffic.

It is worth noting that these airstrikes are part of an escalating confrontation between “Israel” and the Houthi group, which has declared its support for the Palestinians in Gaza and threatened to impose a total aerial blockade on the Israeli occupation.
