Yemeni Prime Minister Discusses Enhancing Relations and Regional Developments with Syrian President

Yemeni Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Shayea Mohsen al-Zindani met on Friday with Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, where the two sides discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations and regional developments.

Officials stated that during the meeting, Al-Zindani conveyed the greetings of the President of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, emphasizing the Yemeni government’s keenness to expand coordination with Damascus in a manner that serves common interests and supports stability efforts in the region.

Sources added that the talks covered prospects for developing relations between the two countries, in addition to discussing the latest regional developments and issues of mutual concern.

The meeting was attended from the Yemeni side by the Yemeni Ambassador to Turkey, Mohammed Saleh Tariq, and the head of the Asia Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Jamil al-Sanhani. The Syrian side was represented by Foreign Minister Assad al-Shaibani and the head of the General Intelligence Service, Hussein al-Salama.

The meeting comes as part of the participation of officials from several countries in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, which brings together leaders and officials to discuss regional and international issues.
