Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:

Residents of Rudum District in Shabwah Governorate, southern Yemen, have issued an urgent appeal to the relevant authorities and fishermen to assist in the search for two brothers who have been missing during a fishing trip for over 24 hours.

A local source said that the two brothers, Ishaq Hussein Kafia Al-Adhmi and Omar Hussein Kafia Al-Adhmi, set out yesterday morning at 6:00 AM on a fishing boat from the Al-Milha area, located between Hawrat Al-Sahel and Irqah. Contact with them was lost at 10:00 AM.

The source added that the fate of the two brothers remains unknown so far, amid growing concern among their family and residents of the area, due to the lack of any information about their location or condition.

The residents have called on the Coast Guard to act swiftly and launch extensive search and rescue operations in the area. They also appealed to all fishermen along the coasts of Shabwah and nearby areas to participate in the search and investigation efforts.

They further asked anyone with any information, no matter how small, to report it immediately, stressing that the passage of time increases the difficulty of the situation and that every minute could make a difference in rescue efforts.

The residents hope that search efforts and community cooperation will help find the two brothers and bring them back safely to their families.
