Three Children Killed and a Fourth Injured by Houthi Landmine Explosion in Northwest Yemen

Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:
Three children were killed and a fourth injured on Thursday when a landmine planted by the Houthi group exploded in Makhshoush village in Abs District of Hajjah Governorate in northwestern Yemen.
According to the official Yemen News Agency (SABA), the four children were herding their sheep when the explosion occurred.
The victims were identified as:
- Abdullah Ali Jaa’r Rahal (14)
- Ali Yahya Jaa’r Rahal (13)
- Hussein Musa Ahmed Majoub (15)
The fourth child, Mohammed Musa Yahya Ahmed Majoub (14), is currently receiving treatment in intensive care.
It is worth noting that landmines planted by the Houthis have caused the deaths and injuries of dozens of civilians across various provinces, particularly children. The latest similar incident occurred weeks ago when six citizens were killed.
Residents of the area have appealed to international and humanitarian organizations to intervene to remove landmines and pressure the Houthis to stop planting explosives in roads and farmland.
