Houthi Leader: Ready to Take “Practical Field Action” in Support of Tehran

Yemen Monitor / Sana’a / Exclusive:
The leader of the Houthi movement, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, announced raising his group’s combat readiness to confront any military developments targeting the Islamic Republic of Iran, stating that the group is prepared to take a “practical and field-based position.”
In a televised speech on Thursday evening, al-Houthi said his group considers itself a direct and central partner in the ongoing battle, describing the attacks against Tehran as “aggression targeting the entire region.”
Al-Houthi emphasized his group’s firm stance in supporting the Iranian leadership, stressing “our readiness for all developments in this battle.” He said the current confrontation has gone beyond geographical borders and has become a decisive battle concerning all Muslims.
He further confirmed that his group is “concerned with taking a practical and field position” to support Tehran against what he described as “the enemies of Islam.”
He added:
“We consider ourselves concerned with taking a position alongside the Islamic Republic of Iran, and that we stand with it against the enemies of Islam and Muslims.”
He also said:
“From the beginning, our position has been that aggression against the Islamic Republic is a war against Islam and Muslims.”
Al-Houthi’s remarks came hours after a speech by the new Iranian Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, who thanked the movement and threatened to open new fronts within the so-called “Axis of Resistance.”
