Yemen Monitor/ Newsroom:
The Embassy of Yemen in the United Arab Emirates has called upon Yemeni citizens currently in the UAE (on visit or transit) whose flights to their intended destinations have been canceled or delayed due to current developments and resulting changes in air traffic, to quickly contact the embassy and provide their data as soon as possible.
The embassy explained that those concerned should send their information via the WhatsApp application or contact them directly at the following number: 00971506973851.
The embassy requested to be provided with the following information:
- A copy of the passport and ticket.
- Current location within the UAE.
- A contact phone number.
- Clarification of travel status (Transit / Canceled flight).
The embassy affirmed its keenness to follow up on the conditions of citizens and provide the necessary assistance in light of current developments.
Last Tuesday, the British newspaper Financial Times revealed that more than 11,000 flights have been canceled in Gulf countries since last Saturday, causing travel disruptions for more than a million passengers worldwide, amid the war on Iran and its aggression against Gulf cities.
Since February 28, Gulf countries, most notably the UAE, have been subjected to attacks by Iranian drones and missiles. Tehran claims it is targeting US bases in the region in response to the ongoing US-Israeli attack since that day.
