The Minister of Youth and Sports, Nayef al-Bakri, has stressed the necessity of developing existing sports facilities and working to invest in them optimally. He noted that the infrastructure projects achieved in recent years and the implementation of the National Youth Sector Plan represent a vital launching point for the upcoming phase.
This came during a meeting held Tuesday with sector undersecretaries at the ministry’s general office in the interim capital, Aden. The meeting was dedicated to discussing the government’s future directions and approved work programs for the current year.
Al-Bakri explained that the new stage requires doubling the pace of work and presenting practical visions that match the scale of challenges and meet the aspirations of youth and athletes. He emphasized the importance of building on previous achievements and transforming them into sustainable projects that yield a tangible impact.
Furthermore, he directed that regular periodic reports must be prepared by various ministry sectors. This is intended to allow for performance evaluation, the immediate addressing of shortcomings, and ensuring that plans and programs are implemented according to specified objectives.
