France Condemns Houthi Arrests of UN Staff

Yemen Monitor – Newsroom:
France strongly condemned the recent wave of arbitrary arrests carried out by the Houthis against United Nations employees in Sana’a and Hudaidah, Yemen, in addition to the raid on the UN headquarters and the seizure of the organization’s property.
It called for the immediate and unconditional release of all United Nations staff, NGO workers, and diplomatic mission personnel arbitrarily detained by the Houthis.
France stated that these arrests violate international law and obstruct the distribution of humanitarian aid needed by the Yemeni people, further worsening the humanitarian crisis in Yemen.
It reaffirmed its full support for the work of the United Nations in Yemen.
