Yemeni Army Repels Houthi Attack in Marib, Eastern Yemen

Yemen Monitor / Marib /Newsroom:
Forces of the Saba Axis of the Yemeni Army repelled what was described as a fierce attack launched by the Houthi group in the early hours of Thursday against military positions on the Malaa front in Harib District, south of Marib Governorate in eastern Yemen.
Military sources told Yemen Monitor that clashes erupted between Yemeni Army forces of the Saba Axis and Houthi fighters following a failed attempt by the group to attack army positions on the Malaa front.
The sources explained that the fighting lasted for several hours and involved heavy exchanges of artillery fire as well as engagements using various types of weapons. The Saba Axis forces eventually succeeded in forcing the Houthi fighters to retreat, reportedly leaving casualties, including dead and wounded, among their ranks.
Marib’s frontlines periodically witness intermittent clashes and continued infiltration attempts by the Houthi group as it seeks to achieve battlefield breakthroughs.
