Series of US Airstrikes Target Four Yemeni Governorates, Including Sana’a

Yemen Monitor/Newsroom:

US fighters launched a series of airstrikes on separate locations in the Yemeni capital, Sana’a, and the governorates of Al-Hudaidah and Hajjah (west) and Marib (east of the country).

Media outlets affiliated with the Houthis said that “US fighters bombed various areas of the capital Sana’a with high-explosive bombs amid continuous overflights of warplanes.”

US fighters also launched three raids on the Al-Jubah district in Marib Governorate in addition to series of airstrikes targeting various areas in Hajjah Governorate, northern Yemen .

On Saturday evening, two people were killed and 11 others were injured in airstrikes attributed to US forces, which targeted the Yemeni capital Sana’a and its surroundings, according to Houthi-affiliated media.

On Friday, the Houthis announced the killing of at least 80 people and the injury of another 150 in US airstrikes targeting Ras Issa oil port, in the deadliest strikes of the intensified air campaign launched by Washington against the rebels 15 months ago.

Houthi-controlled areas have been subjected to almost daily airstrikes, for which they hold the U.S. responsible, since Washington announced on March 15 the launch of a military operation against the group to stop their attacks on ships in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.
