Sources: Casualties Reported in U.S. Airstrikes on Oil Port in Western Yemen

Yemen Monitor / Al-Hudaydah / Exclusive:

At least two people were killed and ten others wounded on Thursday in U.S. airstrikes targeting an oil port in western Yemen, according to two port workers who spoke to Yemen Monitor.

The sources said the airstrikes hit the strategic Ras Issa oil terminal, resulting in an initial toll of two dead and at least ten injured. Later, Houthi officials reported that the number of fatalities had risen to 17, with dozens more wounded.

The sources noted that the current figures are likely preliminary, as ambulances were unable to reach the site immediately following the attack.

At least four airstrikes reportedly targeted the terminal’s loading platform. Houthi-run Al-Masirah TV said a series of airstrikes struck the port.

While the strikes focused on the port, the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) later confirmed that it had “destroyed the Ras Issa oil terminal.”

According to the sources and Houthi media, at least 17 people were killed and dozens injured in the U.S. airstrikes on Thursday targeting the vital oil facility on Yemen’s western coast.
