A citizen in his seventies was killed today, Saturday, following an attack launched by a drone belonging to the Houthi group that targeted his home in Hays District, south of Al Hudaidah Governorate (western Yemen).
Local sources said that a Houthi drone targeted with a projectile the yard of the house of citizen “Sulaiman Yahya Mish’al Al-Haymi” (70 years old), in the village of “Bayt Al-Haymi” belonging to Hays District.
The sources added that the shelling resulted in “Al-Haymi” suffering severe wounds and shrapnel injuries in various parts of his body, after which he was transferred to the field hospital in the neighboring Al Khawkha District to receive first aid, but he passed away due to his critical injuries.
The lines of contact between the Houthis and the army forces belonging to the Yemeni government are witnessing sporadic clashes and a military escalation, as fierce battles took place last week, leaving dozens dead from both sides.
