Hadramawt Police Arrest Security Wanted Individuals and Seize Explosive Devices in Mukalla

Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:

Security authorities in the city of Mukalla, Hadramawt Governorate (eastern Yemen), announced on Friday that they had foiled an operation to store explosive materials and carried out a campaign to pursue wanted individuals in Ghayl Ba Wazir District.

Hadramawt Police stated that Mukalla security forces conducted a successful raid on a house in the “Al-Dees” area, resulting in the seizure of 20 explosive bombs that had been illegally hidden.

Sources explained that the operation came after precise investigative efforts to track down the suspect (M. A. B.), who admitted to possessing the explosives, which he had seized from “Riyan International Airport” during the chaos last January.

In a related development, security agencies in the coastal region of Hadramawt launched an extensive campaign targeting wanted and outlawed individuals.

Hadramawt Police revealed that six people were arrested in the areas of Fuwah, Al-Sharj, and Al-Dees, after their involvement was confirmed in firing gunshots in those areas over the past few days, and for violating directives prohibiting the firing of weapons at weddings and other occasions.
