Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:
The First Division of the Yemeni Emergency Forces said on Tuesday that it had seized dozens of trucks carrying smuggled fuel that were on their way to be sold on the black market.
The forces stated in a statement that they had seized more than fifty tanker trucks loaded with petroleum derivatives in less than ten days, which were heading to the black market as part of organized smuggling operations.
They confirmed that these operations are part of an ongoing security plan to combat smuggling and curb black market activity, noting that campaigns will continue to seize anyone proven to be involved in such activities.
The Emergency Forces called on citizens to cooperate with security agencies and report any suspicious movements that contribute to undermining economic stability.
The First Division forces are deployed in the Al-Ruwayk area east of Marib governorate, led by Yasser Al-Ma’bari. The division has brigades on the Baqim front in Saada governorate. It received additional support in December 2025 during the STC’s attack on Hadramawt, which strengthened its deployment in the Al-Ruwayk desert and expanded its control over the area between Marib and Hadramawt in eastern Yemen.
