Crisis Management Committee Approves Steps to Address Power and Gas Issues

A meeting chaired by the Yemeni Prime Minister, Dr. Shayaa al-Zindani, held today in Aden, reviewed reports on energy needs, electricity fuel, and the stability of domestic gas supplies to the markets.

The meeting, which included the Crisis Management Committee and relevant ministers, discussed appropriate solutions and coordination mechanisms with the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY) to enhance cooperation in implementing urgent interventions and service-oriented development projects.

During the meeting, Dr. Al-Zindani emphasized the need to double government efforts and adopt unconventional solutions to overcome economic difficulties and alleviate the suffering of citizens. He praised the continuous fraternal support of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the SDRPY and its vital role in supporting the services sector.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Committee approved a series of executive measures to deal with the power and gas crises according to specific timelines. The Prime Minister directed continuous follow-up to ensure the achievement of the desired stability in basic services.
