Massive Protest In Al-Mokha Denouncing Iranian Interventions And Supporting Gulf Security

Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:

The coastal city of Al-Mokha, western Yemen, witnessed a massive public protest on Saturday, with thousands of people from the districts of the western coast in the governorates of Taiz and Hudaidah participating, denouncing Iranian attacks and interventions in the Arab region.

A correspondent for “Yemen Monitor” reported that the protesters gathered in response to a call by local authorities in the liberated districts, to express popular rejection of Iranian policies that target the security and stability of neighboring countries.

Thousands of citizens from various districts of the western coast took part in the protest, expressing full solidarity with Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, and Jordan, and demanding an end to Iranian escalation in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab Strait.

Participants in the march raised banners and slogans affirming the “shared destiny” between Yemen and the Arab Gulf states, emphasizing that the region’s security is indivisible.

The protesters also chanted slogans rejecting the transformation of Yemen’s coasts into platforms for targeting international navigation or threatening the security of brothers.

In a statement issued by the protest, the demonstrators reaffirmed their commitment to the fraternal and historical relations that bind Yemen with its Arab surroundings, warning that the continuation of Iranian escalation destabilizes the region and compounds the suffering of the Yemeni people by threatening vital waterways.
