Yemeni Defense Minister Arrives in Mukalla as Part of High-Level Government Delegation

The Yemeni Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Taher Al-Aqili, arrived today, Friday, in the city of Mukalla as part of a high-level government delegation on a visit aimed at discussing several service, developmental, and security files in Hadramawt Governorate.

The delegation was received at Riyan International Airport by the member of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council and Governor of Hadramawt, Salem Ahmed Al-Khanbashi. The delegation included the Minister of Local Administration, Engineer Badr Basalmah, and the Minister of Legal Affairs, Judge Ishraq Al-Maqtari, alongside several deputy ministers, military leaders, and government officials.

The meeting between the governorate leadership and the government delegation is scheduled to discuss a range of issues related to local administration, improving services, and enhancing security and stability, as well as coordinating efforts between the government and the local authority.

The Governor of Hadramawt praised the visit, emphasizing its importance in supporting the local authority’s efforts to face challenges, improve living and service conditions, and strengthen the partnership with the central government to achieve sustainable development.
