A member of Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council and Governor of Hadramawt, Salem Ahmed Al-Khanbashi, stressed the importance of ensuring stable fuel supplies in Hadramawt Governorate, emphasizing that this issue is a top priority due to its direct connection to essential services and the daily lives of citizens.
This came during a meeting he held with officials from the oil sector, including representatives from PetroMasila and the Oil Company on the Hadramawt Coast. The meeting discussed the level of petroleum product supplies, plans to strengthen strategic reserves, and ways to improve transportation and distribution processes.
Al-Khanbashi highlighted the need to enhance the operational readiness of the distribution system and strengthen coordination among relevant authorities to ensure regular fuel availability, which would help stabilize electricity services and ease living burdens on residents.
In a separate context, Al-Khanbashi inspected the workflow at the Al-Wadiah land border crossing and reviewed the performance of the customs office there, as well as the challenges affecting the smooth flow of trade.
According to local officials, he listened to a briefing on passenger transit procedures, the flow of goods, and revenue levels, praising the efforts made to improve services and boost public resources.
He also stressed the importance of facilitating customs procedures and addressing difficulties, calling for enhanced coordination among concerned entities to improve efficiency and the quality of services provided.
