Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:
The Yemeni Ministry of Interior began its first steps today, Sunday, in the temporary capital, Aden, to merge security units and formations—formerly belonging to the “dissolved” Transitional Council—into the framework of the Ministry.
During his chairmanship of a meeting with the High Committee tasked with the inventory, organization, and evaluation of human resources, the Yemeni Minister of Interior, Major General Ibrahim Haidan, explained that the committee’s tasks involve merging security units, organizing formations, and unifying financial, administrative, and operational aspects. These measures are intended to raise the level of discipline and enhance security readiness.
Major General Haidan emphasized the importance of the committee performing its assigned tasks with high national responsibility, working according to a clear timeline to ensure the achievement of desired goals. He noted that this would enhance human resource efficiency and improve institutional performance across various sectors of the Ministry.
The meeting included the Chairman of the Committee and Commander of the Special Security Forces at the Ministry of Interior, Major General Dr. Abdul Salam al-Jamali, along with committee members and the Undersecretary for the Human and Financial Resources Sector at the Ministry of Interior, Major General Dr. Qaid Atef.
The committee reviewed its executive action plan and issued several organizational instructions to facilitate its work and complete inventory and evaluation procedures according to approved standards, as reported by the official Yemeni news agency, “Saba.”
